Terms of sale and use

Fouine is sold by Creem (creem.io), the merchant of record, on behalf of its publisher, Mathis Demory, a private individual in France. This page says what you buy, what you may do with it, and who to write to. Dated 14 September 2026; the version shown here on the day of your purchase is the one that applies.

1. What you buy

• A licence key for Fouine, the macOS application, for €39 including VAT, paid once. No subscription, nothing recurring.
• One key covers up to three Macs of one household. You free a Mac from Settings ▸ Licence or from your Creem customer area, and can activate another.
• Updates for life of the product: every version published after your purchase installs with the same key.
• The key arrives by e-mail from Creem right after payment, and is shown on the confirmation page and in your Creem customer area.

2. The trial

Fouine is free to try for 30 days, with nothing held back and no account to create. When the trial ends, searching, previewing and exporting keep working; only the index stops updating until a key is entered. Nothing is deleted.

3. Payment, invoice, taxes

Payment is handled entirely by Creem, which collects the price, issues the invoice and accounts for VAT in your country. Creem's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. The publisher never sees your card details.

4. Refunds

If Fouine does not work for you, write to basedpolymer1907@gmail.com with the e-mail address you bought with, and say what went wrong. Refunds are processed by Creem. Once refunded, the key stops working at its next check, and the trial behaviour applies: searching keeps working, the index stops updating.

5. What you may do with the software

The software is governed by the Fouine Source-Available Licence 1.0. In short: you may install and use Fouine on your Macs within the limits above, read its source code, build it and change it for your own use. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or offer it as a service to others. The licence text is the reference; this paragraph only summarises it.

6. No warranty, limits of liability

Fouine is provided as is. It reads your documents and writes nothing into them, but it cannot guarantee that every page of every file will be found: text recognition misses words on faded or handwritten pages, and some formats are read partially. The publisher's liability is limited to the price paid, to the extent the law allows; nothing here removes the rights consumer law gives you.

7. Your data

Fouine keeps your documents, your index and your searches on your Mac. What leaves it, and when, is set out in full on the privacy page. The purchase itself is known to Creem (your e-mail address and the payment) and to the publisher (your key, and the names of the Macs you activated).

8. Support

Write to basedpolymer1907@gmail.com. Fouine is published by one person: answers come within a few days, in English or in French. Problems and requests can also be filed in the public tracker, where they help everyone.

9. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. The sale contract is with Creem under its own terms; the licence to use the software is with the publisher. If a sentence of this page proves invalid, the rest stands.
